Cyanide & Heavy Metal Removal

Cyanide and heavy metals are present in the wastewater of various industries such as iron and steel, coal mining, and metal plating. High toxicity and their adverse effects on health of living organisms are the reasons for necessity of controlling the levels of these pollutants in the nature. General approach adopted is to segregate the cyanide and chromium bearing streams prior to the treatment.

We have adopted an integrated process for heavy metal and cyanide removal in aqueous waste stream wherein cyanide is oxidized and hexavalent chromium is reduced to trivalent chromium at ambient temperature and at specific pH using reagents thus converting heavy metals to its respective hydroxides which are then separated by settling and filtration.

We have successfully installed integrated treatment for metal plating industries.
